Axis-Shield markets major products in the area of syphilis testing and monitoring and for the detection of Pneumocystis carinii/jirovecii infection.
We also market point-of-care tests for CRP on our Afinion and Nycocard systems, which is raised in bacterial infection and is also a marker of inflammation (often associated with infection). Our novel marker Heparin Binding Protein (HBP), which is associated with severe sepsis will be available in 2012. Information on all of these analytes is available in this section.
